Rye Whiskey is a distilled spirit that is made from fermented grain mash, which must include a minimum of 51% rye grain. We offer bulk rye whiskey in 55-gallon drums, 270-gallon totes, and 6,500-gallon ISO tankers. Our Rye Whiskey can be purchased in new fill barrels or up to ages of 5 years old from various origins.
What is Rye Whiskey?
The oldest and most renowned Rye Whiskey is the American Rye Whiskey. Containing at least 51% rye grain by law, this Rye Whiskey has a distinctive flavor consisting of a fruity, spicy, and grainy blend. To be considered Rye Whiskey, the spirit must be aged in new charred oak barrels.
The other variant would be the Canadian Rye Whisky. In contrast to the American Rye Whiskey, the Canadian Whisky doesn’t have any regulations regarding a minimum use of rye content if the whiskey is aged for at least three years, which adds significant color and taste profile.
Straight Rye Whiskey
Straight Rye Whiskey must comply with all requirements of regular Rye Whiskey, but the only differentiating factor being it must be aged a minimum of two years. Furthermore, this straight whiskey is not allowed to be blended with other whiskies or contain any added flavoring, coloring, or other additional spirits.
